November 13-19, 2010. Heart and Craft: A Memoir Workshop for Women in La Barra de Potosi, Mexico. We will spend six days together in the vibrant fishing village of La Barra, writing stunning prose about the lives we’ve lived. For beginning and experienced writers. $1,000 (early bird registration by July 1) includes tuition, accommodations in the magical Casa del Encanto, six days’ breakfast and dinner and van to/from Zihua airport.

From Memory to Memoir: In this two-session workshop at the West Windsor Arts Council in New Jersey, you'll learn to examine your life for the spark of a memoir, then craft that episode on the page with originality and depth. Memoir and Poetry Out Loud at Artist-Teacher Institute: This is art camp for adults! Immerse yourself in a two-week program of memoir-writing, poetry interpretation and performance (my two classes) or book arts, collage, music, glass painting and other genres. Gain tools you can bring back to the classroom or use in your own work; get inspired by the company of art-loving colleagues and new friends.
